Welcome to the Erie Rotary Club, a community of dedicated professionals committed to making a positive impact in our local and global communities through service, fellowship, and leadership. We offer a variety of opportunities for members to get involved and contribute their skills, time, and resources towards meaningful projects and initiatives. Currently, we have several job openings within our club, including Community Events Chair and Social Coordinator Chair. These roles are crucial to our club’s success and provide an excellent opportunity to contribute to the community while developing leadership skills, building relationships, and having fun. Quartermaster

The Quartermaster is a logistics-focused member of our club, serving as the primary point of contact for managing the club’s assets and resources. With a keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills, the Quartermaster is responsible for keeping track of all printed materials, equipment, and supplies needed for our club’s activities. They work diligently to ensure that our efforts are always fully stocked, and members have everything they need to carry out their tasks effectively. Their role is critical in maintaining the smooth running of our club, and we are grateful for their dedicated service.

Community Events

The Community Events is a driver of community projects for our Rotary Club responsible for organizing events that bring together members of the community in a spirit of fellowship and service. This role involves planning and coordinating various community events, including fundraisers, social gatherings, and service projects that support the community’s needs. The Community Events Chair works closely with other committee members to ensure that all events are well-organized, executed smoothly, and aligned with our Rotary Club’s values and goals. This position requires strong organizational and leadership skills, as well as a commitment to service and community engagement.

Social Coordinator

The Social Coordinator is the “cruise director” within our Rotary Club responsible for planning and executing fun and engaging events that foster camaraderie and build a sense of community among our members. This role involves organizing a variety of social events, including happy hours, dinners, and other social activities that promote fellowship and bonding. The Social Coordinator Chair works closely with other committee members to ensure that all events are well-planned, well-attended, and reflect the spirit of fun and inclusivity that is central to our Rotary Club’s culture. This position requires excellent understanding of “fun” and the organizational skills to make these night happen.

Youth Programs Coordinator

The Youth Programs Coordinator is a fun and foundational position within our Rotary Club responsible for overseeing and coordinating our Student of the Month program. This role involves working closely with high school students, teachers, and administrators to identify and recognize outstanding students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance, leadership skills, and community involvement. The Youth Programs Chair also engages volunteers from local high schools to support our youth initiatives and provide mentorship opportunities for students. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a passion for working with young people and a commitment to promoting education, leadership, and service among our community’s youth.

Scholarship Coordinator

The Scholarship Coordinator is a key position within our Rotary Club responsible for promoting and developing our scholarship program. This role involves establishing and reviewing scholarship standards, designing the application process, reviewing and selecting scholarship recipients, and promoting the program to the community. The Scholarship Coordinator works closely with other committee members to ensure that our scholarship program reflects our club’s values and goals and meets the needs of the community. This position requires high integrity, good idea of marketing the program, and an ability to run with this program, as well as a passion for education and a commitment to empowering students to achieve their full potential. The Scholarship Coordinator plays a crucial role in promoting access to higher education and investing in the future of our community.

Interact Leader

The Interact Leader is a NEW position within our Rotary Club responsible for supporting the activities of the Interact Club at the local high school and being a mentor to youth in Erie. This role involves working closely with high school students to plan and execute community service projects, promote leadership development, and foster a spirit of volunteerism and civic engagement. The Interact Leader serves as a liaison between the Interact Club and the Rotary Club and provides mentorship and guidance to students as they develop their skills, pursue their passions, and make a positive impact in their community. This position requires a passion for working with young people and a commitment to promoting service and leadership among our community’s youth. The Interact Leader plays a crucial role in developing the next generation of leaders and fostering a culture of service and engagement within our community.

Parks and Rec. Coordinator

The Parks and Rec. Coordinator for our club is an essential role responsible for supporting the various parks projects and activities organized by the club. The coordinator manages the calendar of events, ensuring that all activities are properly scheduled and executed. They are also the primary representative of the parks department within the club, advocating for the needs of the parks and ensuring that they are given the attention and resources necessary for success. With their expertise in project management and community engagement, the Parks and Rec. Coordinator plays a critical role in helping our club fulfill its mission of promoting healthy, active lifestyles and vibrant public spaces in our community.

Chamber Coordinator

The Chamber Coordinator is the “business face” of our club, responsible for forging and maintaining strong connections with local business leaders. They act as a liaison between our organization and the business community, building mutually beneficial relationships and promoting our club’s values and goals to potential members. Their role involves identifying key players in the local business scene, reaching out to them, and facilitating networking opportunities. By cultivating strong relationships with influential figures in the business community, the Chamber Coordinator helps to increase our club’s visibility, reputation, and membership among business leaders.

Active Adults

The Active Adults Coordinator is a vital member of our club, responsible for managing our commitments to the Active Adults community. They oversee our volunteers for concerts and other events, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. The Coordinator also manages liquor licenses and TIPS certifications, ensuring that our organization operates in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Additionally, they work closely with local active adults groups and organizations, building relationships and collaborating on events and initiatives. The Active Adults Coordinator plays a crucial role in promoting our club’s values and contributing to the well-being of our community’s active adults population.

Loan Locker Coordinator

The Loan Locker Coordinator is a critical member of our club, responsible for managing our commitments to the medical equipment loan closet. They oversee the distribution and maintenance of medical equipment such as wheelchairs, crutches, and walkers, ensuring that those in need have access to the equipment they require. The Coordinator works closely with the town and other community organizations to identify those who require our services, and to ensure that our equipment meets their needs. They are also responsible for managing our inventory of medical equipment and coordinating with volunteers to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and cleaned. The Loan Locker Coordinator plays an essential role in promoting our club’s values of service and community, making a tangible difference in the lives of those who require medical equipment to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Gala General

The Gala General is the “chief fundraiser” member of our club, responsible for overseeing our biggest fundraiser of the year. They serve as the chief point of contact for all aspects of the event, from marketing and operations to vendor management and ticket sales. The Gala General works closely with our fundraising committee to plan and execute a successful and memorable event that raises funds for our club’s charitable initiatives. They coordinate with vendors and sponsors to secure donations and sponsorships, manage ticket sales and registration, and oversee the logistics of the event. The Gala General also plays a critical role in promoting the event and building excitement among our supporters, leveraging marketing and outreach strategies to maximize attendance and donations. Through their leadership and dedication, the Gala General helps to ensure the success of our most important fundraising event of the year.

Peach Marshal

The Peach Marshal is a crucial member of our club, responsible for overseeing our peach sales efforts. They serve as the chief point of contact for all aspects of our peach sales campaign, from coordinating with suppliers and growers to managing logistics and sales. The Peaches Marshal works closely with our marketing and fundraising committees to plan and execute a successful campaign that generates significant revenue for our club’s charitable initiatives. They oversee the ordering and delivery of the peaches, manage inventory, and coordinate with volunteers to ensure that the peaches are distributed efficiently and effectively. The Peaches Marshal also plays a critical role in promoting our peach sales campaign, leveraging marketing and outreach strategies to maximize sales and generate excitement among our supporters. Dolly Parton Imagination Library (DPIL) Stewart and Financial Coordinator

The Dolly Parton Imagination Library Stewart and Financial Coordinator is a vital member of our club, responsible for overseeing two important programs. As the point of contact for the Imagination Library, they work to ensure that children in our community have access to free books each month, promoting literacy and a love for reading from an early age. In their role as Financial Coordinator, they manage the club’s finances, overseeing budgets, expenses, and donations to ensure that our programs can continue to make a positive impact. With their dedication and expertise, our club is able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in our community.

Dues Master

The Dues Master is a key member of our club, responsible for managing all aspects of member dues and payments. As the point of contact for dues, they ensure that all members are up-to-date on their payments, collecting and tracking fees and payments in a timely and accurate manner. They work closely with the club treasurer to ensure that the club’s financial records are kept up-to-date and accurate and that all expenses and income are properly accounted for. With their attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, the Dues Master plays a critical role in helping to maintain the financial stability of our club, ensuring that we are able to continue to offer high-quality programs and services to our members.

Minutes Master

The Minutes Master is an essential member of our club, responsible for ensuring that accurate records are kept of all club meetings and proceedings. As the point of contact for drafting and documenting club minutes, they attend all club meetings and record the discussions, decisions, and actions taken during each session. They then compile these notes into a comprehensive set of minutes, which are distributed to all club members for review and approval. With their attention to detail and excellent communication skills, the Minutes Master helps to ensure that our club’s activities and decisions are properly documented, helping to maintain transparency and accountability among our members. Their work is critical to the smooth functioning of our club, providing an essential historical record of our activities and decisions over time.

Membership Roster

The Membership Roster is a key member of our club, responsible for maintaining an accurate and up-to-date list of all active members. As the point of contact for managing the club roster, they ensure that new members are added promptly, and that the information for existing members is kept current. They work closely with the club officers to ensure that all members are informed about club activities and events, and that dues and payments are collected in a timely manner. With their attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, the Membership Roster helps to ensure that our club is able to function smoothly and effectively, providing a valuable service to all members. Their work is essential to the continued growth and success of our club, ensuring that our membership remains strong and active over time.

Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator is our overseer to “volunteers who are not yet Rotarians” in our club, responsible for managing and coordinating all volunteer efforts. As the point of contact for volunteer activities, they work closely with club officers and members to identify areas where volunteer support is needed, and then recruit, train, and organize volunteers to fulfill those needs. They maintain a database of volunteers, keeping track of their skills, availability, and interests, and match them with opportunities that best suit their abilities. With their excellent communication and organizational skills, the Volunteer Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that our club is able to provide high-quality programs and services to our community. Their work is essential to the success of our club, as we rely heavily on the support of our volunteers to achieve our mission and goals.

Onboarding Coordinator

The Onboarding Coordinator is the “welcoming hug” of our club, responsible for ensuring that new members are smoothly integrated into the club’s activities and culture. As the point of contact for new member onboarding, they work closely with club officers and members to provide a warm welcome to new members, answer their questions, and help them navigate the club’s policies and procedures. They ensure that new members are introduced to the club’s mission, goals, and values, and help them identify areas where they can get involved and make a meaningful contribution. With their excellent communication skills and friendly demeanor, the Onboarding Coordinator plays an essential role in helping new members feel at home in our club, setting the stage for a positive and rewarding experience for everyone involved.

Booth Boss

The Booth Boss is a NEW and will be an important member of our club, responsible for coordinating our participation in local events and ensuring that we have a strong presence in the community. As the point of contact for event planning, they work closely with club officers and members to develop a calendar of town events that we will participate in and then oversee the staffing and operation of our booths at those events. They are responsible for recruiting volunteers, training them on booth operations and etiquette, and ensuring that all necessary supplies and materials are on hand. With their excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, the Booth Boss plays a key role in ensuring that our club is visible and active in the community and that we are able to make a positive impact through our participation in local events.

Marketing/Social Media/Public Relations

The Marketing/SM/PR coordinator is a crucial member of our club, responsible for managing our club’s public image and communications with traditional and social media outlets. As the point of contact for marketing, social media, and public relations, they work closely with club officers and members to develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that highlights our club’s mission, goals, and achievements. They create and curate content for our club’s social media accounts, website, and other online platforms, and work with traditional media outlets to secure coverage of our events and activities. They also ensure that all communications are consistent with our brand and messaging guidelines, and provide guidance and support to club members who are promoting our club through their own personal networks. With their excellent communication skills and understanding of marketing and media trends, the Marketing/SM/PR coordinator plays a vital role in shaping our club’s public image and ensuring that our message is effectively communicated to the broader community.

Webmaster

The Webmaster is a crucial member of our club, responsible for managing and maintaining our club’s website. As the point of contact for website management, they work closely with club officers and members to ensure that our website is up-to-date, easy to navigate, and reflects our club’s mission and activities. They are responsible for creating and updating content, such as event calendars, club news, and member directories. They also ensure that the website is secure and running smoothly and that any technical issues are promptly addressed. With their excellent technical skills and attention to detail, the Webmaster plays a key role in ensuring that our club’s online presence is professional and engaging and that our message is effectively communicated to both members and the broader community.

Technology Master

The Technology Master is a vital member of our club, responsible for managing and supporting our club’s use of shared technologies such as G-Suite and Slack. As the point of contact for technology support, they work closely with club officers and members to ensure that our shared technology platforms are functioning effectively and efficiently. They provide guidance and support to members who are using these technologies, help troubleshoot any technical issues that arise, and ensure that all necessary security and privacy protocols are in place. With their excellent technical skills and problem-solving abilities, the Technology Master plays a critical role in ensuring that our club can effectively collaborate and communicate, both internally and with external partners and stakeholders.
